Sportsman - winch promotional offer
I just bought a Sportsman 400 last week. I paid cash and took the Warn Winch deal. My local dealer initially charged me $170 for the install but I sort of got it back when I put them up against another quote. I shopped another dealer in Northern Cal and he was charging $150. You guys are getting pretty good deals back there. Everything in California costs more I guess. I got mine out the door for $6500 which includes our 7.25% tax rate. I could have got it for $200 cheaper but that was way up north where I Duck Hunt and I would rather have a relationship with a closer dealer support system.

There are several reasons why it is done that way. First it allows the dealer to advertise the best possible no BS price on the unit. Second it is less confusing for the customer, believe it or not. When it is all said and done shop out the door price.............
Good luck!

Oh, BTW....the Warn Winch was FREE on the Promo that was offered to me. There were three options offered, one was the free winch, second was low interest on the note, and the third one I forget but I don't think it applied to the Sportsman series so I didn't pay attention.
Edit: I remember now! There is a $300 dollar rebate. I chose the winch because there's was no way I could get the winch and the mount kit that cheap. If you want a winch, it's sort of a "no brainer" I think!

Those of you who think he is getting screwed, I like to know what you paid for your machines. The add from the dealer he is referring to has the following prices in last Sunday's Minneapolis Startribune Newspaper.
04 500 Sportsman $5399
04 600 Sportsman $5699
04 700 Sportsman $6199
Freight and setup are included in the price.
Even if you pay $300 if you want the winch it is still the best deal in town by about $200.
