I have a 2003 700 sportsman tried to ride it yesterday but i could not get any get throttle response out of it while it was in gear and trying to move. i let it run for 20 min or so before i rode it on yes the choke was not on when i was trying to ride it it ran fine at idle just not while driving it any suggestions the engine was a operating temp because the fan for radiator came on Thank You

By any chance, is that piece of foam that sits between the seat and gas tank blocking the air intake? Someone else here identified that as the cause of their problem. Might be worth checking.

Also, check to make sure your carburator vent line isn't blocked. If it is, it'll sputter and not want to run.

yes removed the peice of foam from between seat and that did not help vent line was also clear

Bad gas maybe? Old sparkplugs that finally are giving up?

What do you mean "no throttle response", did it cough and back fire, or just not go very fast??? I Know for poor cold starting and
acceleration polaris has finally come out with an update for the carb on the 600's and 700's-your dealer has the update and can
order the parts. I had a problem with mine wher it wouldn't go over 40 mph, and felt like it was bogging down, turned out the primary
clutch wasn't fulley enguaging do to a plastic nut for the ebs that had loosened up, my dealer tightened it up and now it's just fine.

mine did the same the other day, and when I cleaned the carb, there was a huge something in the jet. I'm tring to figure out how it got there. I have 172 mile on the machine.
