Default 99 Scrambler motor and tranny into a 95.

Hey. Would it be a problem using the motor and tranny from a 99 and putting it in a 95? I dont know if it matters with the 99 being a concentric drive.

So the motor and tranny should be all interchangable then...

The 99 has a concentric drive transmission - completely different. Engine will interchange but not the transmission. I own both...

So i can buy a non-concentric tranny and bolt it up to the 99 motor and that would work.... Ok. Thank you very much.

How about the 250 tranny, is that the same as the 400?

That would work. If you have a 95 scrambler, you already have a non-concentric trans. 250 and 400 transmissions are the same. In fact, almost any non-concentric transmission would work, except shaft drive models like the Sportsman.

The gears and everything inside the 250 tranny and the 400 tranny are the same?

I'm not sure about the innards. i know the cases are the same. 250 Trailblazer transmission cases are the same as the 400 Sport cases, both are two wheel drive. If you have a 4X4 Scrambler, you could put a hi-lo transmission in it out of one of the utility 4X4 models. Bolts right up. Instant wheelies...
