HPD PIPES AND CLUTCH KITS
#1
I was at my local dealer today and he told me it would cost around $500.00 to install a HPD pipe and Silencer and clutch kit. I think this is to high. Do you have to install a clutch kit with the pipe??? I already have a primary spring. I think I can install it all myself except for rejetting the carb.
thanks any help will be appreciated

if you go with the hpd pipe you MUST! use there clutch kit,the hpd pipe wakes up the 250 but it has no bottom end. i took are 97 trailblazer out for a test run after installing the pipe and it was a dog, then pulled it in to the garage and installed the clutch kit and....HELLO...different quad now that slug 250 could pull wheelies up the street.whatever pipe you get just buy the clutch kit that go's with it. if i was you i would go with the hpd it runs great. theres lots of pipes out there just remember hpd's logo"forget the bull, just see who wins" by the way if i remember the prices were...pipe $190,muffler $79,cluth kit$89...and forget the dealer install it yourself it took me like 45min it go's on with no problems and it will be done right.

The main jet is on the bottom of the carb. You have to take the carb off to change the main jet. Shut of the fuel supply, remove the air box, loosen the screw that holds the carb to the rubber intake boot and pull the carb straight back and out. Remove the big screw on the bottom of the carb. Directly under that screw is the copper colored main jet just unscrew and replace with the new jet size.
( note: you can leave the choke\throttle cables and vent hoses attached just be careful when you turn the carb over not to bend anything )
