battery goes dead

Default battery goes dead

Its a 7 month old battery .....I needs some ideas why the battery keeps goin dead........But it charges....i think it might be my ignition cuz its broken could that be a posible answer....

Do the simple thing first bro...... charge up your battery and go to autozone and have a load test performed on your battery. It may have a dead cell. It should be free of charge and will eliminate any question about the battery. If it passes then you can look at the ignition. I also live in IN and it has been really cold here the past week.... if you didnt have the battery inside or have it on a trickel charger then I'd say it's most deffinately the battery. But have it checked anyway.

i know all the cells are full......But ya i guess i could take it down there and have them test it ....ohh ya and another thing i have to leave the ignition on when i turn it off cuz it wont turn off....But i turn it off by the switch on the handle bars....

Just because the cells are full doesnt mean they are good though. You can have a dead cell on the battery w/ all the cells full. Im not 100% sure if the key switch has to be off on that model to stop a bettery drain though. You can try taking the battery connections off after you ride. When you are ready to ride again then reconnect it and if it works then you know it is the keyswitch.

i know keeping the switch on won't kill the battery i left mine when i did have a batery for days and the battery was fine so it may be a cell

no i have to leave my key on....I just shut it off by the switch on the handle bars....

i had a problem with my quad where it wouldnt keep a charge. turned out to be da voltage regulator had gone up.
