So after digging through Rocky Mountain ATV's website, I now see Big Gun has a CDI box out now for the predator too........

Are these all just the same re-badged CDI boxes that are popping up at White Bros, ProComm, HardRock Mtr Sports, and several other other sources?

Somebody has to be the sole source mfr, and they're just all relabeling them I'm thinking.

So which units really stand apart?

I know some can be reprogrammed, some come with 10 settings, maybe another unit has 4 settings?

Who's in the know?

Lets talk some facts and data.

 

Heap, the HPD and Rath units originate from Vortex (Australia). The Procom is their own deal, not sure if they're the OEM providers and just raising the rev limit, but they don't offer a changed curve. I think there was talk of a #2 which might incorporate a different curve. My personal opinion is the changeable curves would be benificial...besides fun to play around w/, and I wouldn't really have a use for just raising the rev bar. Time will tell w/ all these mods.
