Default counter balance question again??

i was going to replace the oil seal and waterpump seal on my scrambler. i have noticed the shaft on the counter balance is pretty marred up. i tried to clean it off with a soft wire brush, but it seems to have some grooves in it. It also have a good bit of play in it. i think it may have also been leaking oil and antifreeze into the crank. Do you guys think i should replace the whole counter balance. there is no play in the crank gear. If i should replace the counter balance where is the cheapest(lol) place to get one?? thanks again

You can get a rebuilt one for I think 75.00 from Rick Ritter less the core.

Mine was worn bad too. I took it to a local machine shop, and they spray welded it then turned it down on a lathe. Works pretty nice so far.

Be sure that you replace all bearings and seals too.
