Default whew just got it together

just got tb put back together...bubba ported the cyl. for lowend RCR pipe.....got head milled .020 ..... put clutch kit in... putting that clutch spring in on the helix just about wore me out....when they say to get a friends help do it... i got a strap wrench like the ones u see on a info show.....got it at home depot .... went great after useing that.....putting clip back in useing one hand was tricky to lol..... was going to start it. run down street...but it was 8:30 people would prob. get upset...so ill do it tomorrow after work....cannot wait...... anyone who has a rcr kit, port job. milled head, clutch kit, tell me what it was like the first time u rode it.after u did mods am i gonna see the power differ. from just running the rcr lowend kit ... to now with the port and head milled..... ty curb P.S after i run it im pulling fly wheel off to get it lighten.....

It's real frieking cold out there right now. Be very careful with the jetting, your gonna move a lot more air through that motor. Better safe than sorry. My Banshee was a touch on the rich side already, but I went ahead and lowered the clip on the needles one notch to make sure the midrange was not lean at all when I put the new top end together. The 34 scrammy carb has a tendency to have a lean spot in the middle or cruise throttle. Make sure you dont hold it at a steady throttle where the motor seems to have a nice solid sound, you need to hear a little choppiness or richness to a certain extent. Hope that makes sense.

Huh!!! I totally melted the piston on a TB 250 in the cold. Totally melted. The piston was gone. I think it was Bubba's fault for not being real clear about the rate of choppiness that I needed. At least that is what I told my wife when I had to buy a new one. lol Louie

Oh so it is Bubba's fault I melted my new wisco piston ! He should of told me about the lean spot on the 34mm carb! And he mentioned nothing about choppiness......... DOH !!!!!!!!!!!!!

yo mudmaster from what little bit i did down street cause of cold weather yeh the porting and the milling of the head did make more power.... i put 200 main jet in so i would not hurt piston cause of cold weather..prob gonna drop it to a 190 when it warms up......... anyone else reading this put new clutch kit in ...now it makes a sound like brakings screeching in front clutch area... not when it is idleing just when i give it gas .... stops after i let off gas ....almost to idle again.... does it even when i deaccel.....hmmmmmm.... curb
