PRAISE THE PARTS THAT WORK! and parts that don't

I just want to take the time to express how i feel about Some parts that I have used on my 2000 Scrambler 400.
First thing is the AXLE-- In my scrammys life time it has seem about 4 stock axles and 3 Dura-blues(da,ra-blew)
they all where victums of BRAKING FORM JUMPING.At the time of the dura-blues tha and stock were the only game in town.NOW we have TEAM --there AXLE IS THE BEST!!!!!
This Axle has seen more air time then most small planes.
It has been though a 60MPR wipeout backwardsinto a tree.
I have had it for a year now and I have never had a Axle last more then 3 months.IT"S NOT BENT AND I CAN"T BRAKE IT!(I Have tried).
The next thing is DIGATRON EGT/RPM (dt31snl) This thing has told me the temps of my motor and the RPMs for clutch tunning.Before I had this Gage, the analog ones where to hard to read and by the time you noticed that you were to high in temps,IT would melt down the engine.NOW that I have the DIGATRON I'm ALWAYS right on with my jetting and have had my engine last over a year with no problems.
thirdly is--TEAM secondary EBS CLUTCH (ts99 I think) This clutch IS GREAT!! it allows the engine to DOWN shift almost like dropping a gear. THis is great because it Pulls the engine down To the meat of your hosepower and allows for some NICE HOLESHOTS (FREE ROOSTING) Also it has been the Most RELIABLE CLUTCH I HAVE SEEN AND USED!!!!
4th- THE CPI DRAG PIPE FOR THE SCRAMMY 400-- this pipe is the best pipe for a modded 400.SOME people including the people at CPI said the pipes was going to be a few hundred RPMs below the HPD one BUT, I have noticed that!!actually IT is about the same BUT BETTER THEN SAID .on my engine I get peak power at 7500rpms NOT 7200-7400.
THAT IS BETTER THE HPDs pipe.(THE PROOF IS THE PROFORMCE OF THE BIKE).
5th-HPDs Thumb throttle- aluminum,Strong,and easier to use.The stock ones Are Plastic Crap,that brakes.THESE HPD ONE ARE SMOOTH AND NICE LOOKING.NO NUMB THUMB!!
6th- DIAL-A-JET read the adds,it works alittle--IT dosen't do away with main jet changes BUT, it limits them down to maybe two or three a year.
NEXT we HAVE HPDs RACE MOD KIT(75HP motor only) ALL I CAN SAY IS HOW DO YOU PUT THAT MUCH POWER INTO THE MOTOR AND HAVE IT RELIABLE TOO. The only problem i have had has been THE carb and the reeds.CARB FLOATS and shatterd reed.The cool head that comes with the Kit realy COOLS THAT ENGINE DOWN.
lastly REALTOR Tires (pure sports) these tire have really fit this quad for New Jersey terrain. They have run over all kinds of things glass, metal,and wood with nails in it.They Just hold up to ABUSE.Pulse they are reversable. Run one way for sand, snow,and mud.Run the other way for HARD PACK,or CX riding.
NOW FOR THE PARTS THAT ARE NEEDED< BUT, NEED HELP!!
1st-HPD chain tensioner- It works great BUT, it falls apart.THEy put the greese fitting on the inside,This alows the chain to hit the ZERK and ruin it.The arm that the roller is on wears out and the the roller won't push on the Chain straight.IT SHOULD BE METAL not aluminum.
2nd-HPD shift drum clutch-IT works WAY better then stock but,the rollers wear out QUICK.
3rd-HPD- race pipe for the 75hp motor-GOOD PIPE,BUT,NOt Strong. IT is so thin I have had mine crack in a few spots.Also it is harder then any oter pipe to put on Straight,BECAUSE the flange Sucks.
4th-Razar2 maxxis tire (FRONT) 23-7-10,this size is about 2 sizes too big. THE TIRE is way over sized and badly marked for size.What i mea is that if you got 21-7-10s it would be as big as your stock scrammy front tires.
5th- and the absulotly the worst PART I HAVE EVER OWNED
DURA_BLUE AXLE--they brake so easy.easier then STOCK.once broke one on a two foot high jump(need I say more)
That is about all I can think of at this time But, as they come to me I will post more on this thread.

That is a lot of useful information, and helpful when determining which product to buy. If I was you though, I wouldn't complain too much, it seems that you are putting your scammy to the ultimate test in suspension,etc. I was wondering, how do you rate the scrammy frame?? How many times have you patched that up?? Brad

IT IS hard for me to rate the scrammy frame. I have been though 2 already and the one I'm on now has been patched up More times then I can remember. I have been VERY VERY HARD ON IT although!! The thing I have always known is that I was Using the scrammy In ways that it was not designed for,but,I always felt I could Be as good or better then any quad that was made for the way i rode it.
THE HARDEST LEASON HAS BEEN THE FACT THAT THERE IS NOTHING I COULD DO TO MAKE IT RIDE SMOOTH AND SOAK UP THE BUMPS. The stock supension is O.k for a stock set up But not for a MODDED 400. I tried them all HOT seat springs,progressive supension ajustable springs,and stock springs.Along with that I have used WORKS,FOX,KEMPEX,AND STOCK STRUTS.ALL of that money and they all suck. Even With the FAct of the sHocks being VAlved for my weight and riding style.IT either SUCKS or The shocks have all been valved wrong for Me And NEW JERSEY TERRAIN!!
There is Nothing I can do with the STOCk Front end to make it even close to riding as good as my PREDATOR.
