I have a 99 Sport, I would realy like to know how fast I'm going. Anyone know were I can get a new or used speedometer? Polaris wants $169. for that I could get a GPS. I'm looking for something inexpensive. Thanks

I saw something a while back in the other part of ATV Connection on how to install a digital bicicle speedo that costs about 30$...Check out the home page. Anybody else see this too? The polaris speedo isn't that great, it's hard to look at when going fast.

I've tried that, it was difficult to say the least. After doing it, making brakets and running the wires and getting it all set. I then discovered that the magnet wasn't strong enough to trip the sensor as it passed. I got them as close as I could, maybe an 1/8". I've got another magnet to try, but I don't think its any better. I can't put a bigger magnet cause there's just no room. I've thought about going to the rear axle, but that would only be accurate when I'm off the throttle. Was a good idea though, any one else have an idea?
