i was going 75 on a GPS and that's cause its geared for 300ft. I figure when i put it back together and gear it for the eighth it will run in the mid to high eighties.

on a track with stock sprokets using 18" american racers i was radar clocked at 74 mph in the straights(1/2 mile track) and with a 30 tooth rear sprocket i was clocked at 84 mph (3/8 mile track). the engine was not maxed out but the gearing/trans was. Bubba, the porting is working great- i don't have any problem hanging with a mod 400ex or 416ex in the corners on the flat tracks- going to run another indoor in Sturgis,ky this weekend.

I just did a top speed run with my STOCK 2000 Scrambler 2X4 and got a best of 61.8 mph on the GPS. It was windy and I didn't really have enough room, but I don't think the stocker goes too much faster than that.

My 97 sport 400 with 14-30 gears and 22 inch tires does 88 in 200 yards on radar,it has ran 73 in the 100 yards. This is with the 100 yard drag setup,it would be fun to rejet, add taller tires and change the chasis setup, and go for top speed in longer distances.
