Default Lotsa ??? torque on 400 head studs.

Should you double nut them and use a torque wrench? Or just snug them up with small visegrips? How far down in the jug will they go? Too far??? Im going to us hi temp locktite also. Has anyone on here ever used the brown aviation gasket sealer on this head? (stock one). A friend suggested the stuff, but im a little weary. Thanks in advance.

My manual dosent show any specs on the studs themselves. I gues ill try one at 18lbs and see how it looks. I used plain blue locktite the first time, the engine got pretty hot and 3 of the studs were loose. (causing the gasket to blow the 2nd time) Errrr.
