I just found an amazing dealer. Great service and knowledgable people. Too bad it's 3 hours away! At least they don't bolt my wheels on backwards...or forget to bolt them on all together!

My dealer is really nice, always can count on him. I have not really had to order parts or anything like that but when i ordered some accesories they were on time he calls me at work to tell me they are in, he was super fair on my trade in allowance, if i make a service appointment it is done when they say it will be. Like I have said I would buy another brand before getting crappy dealer service, I don't expect to have my butt kissed, but there is no excuse to not even know what parts go on what atv.

forgot to mention the 3 and a half weeks it took to fix a leaky hub seal under warranty,2 and a half weeks waiting for the seal..im glad my bike isnt under warranty anymore.. i cant imagine what a major problem would take to fix.. i have found a much better dealer to buy parts and get help from so i guess it could be worse

Zion dude, the dealer I am speaking about is Big Boys Toys on hwy 89 in Pleasant View. You should check them out, I have yet to be dissapointed. What do you ride and where? My favorite local spot is Dock Flats Rd. up near Mantua. Bill, dealers should stand behind their product. If I got bad service I would go out of my way to own a different brand. The product is only as good as the dealer that stands behind it.

Matt,
I could'nt agree with you more, except you see,in my area,ALL manufacture dealers suck, not just one particular brand. In 1987,when I purchased my 87 KQ,the dealership sold everything except Polaris, even to this day, getting repairs done their are really bad.So if all the dealers in the area give bad service, than im at least going to buy the brand I like most.

Now I did find a mechanic about 15 miles away at a Polaris dealership called Jans Sporting Goods, but Matt,I dropped off my Sportsman to him WAY back in early OCT of 99 for repairs, and it sat in his garage for three wks before he even took it into his shop to look at.It finally was finished a few days after Christmas.Even though the quad was finally repaired right, thats not good customer service to me.No quad should sit in a garage for three wks before the mechanic even starts to look at it.

Now for some unbenounced reason, this same mechanic has been servicing my new 00 Xplorer VERY quickly, and I did'nt even buy the damn thing their.Im thinking they have heard ENOUGH of my bitching and seek to make me happy.====Bill

Mayhem,
I ride a Y2K 325 Mag 4x4 I bought at Triple S. I bought it at Triple S because they made me a good deal on the price. I haven't been totally satisfied with the customer service, though.
I took the bike in last month to get some damage fixed from my 16 year old flipping it into a ditch; he bent the steering post and cracked the front rack. It took about 2 weeks to get it back and when I did they had lost the key cover and couldn't find it...I had to pay for another one.
Needless to say, I was upset. It was only 5 dollars but they said that the key was broken off and that the cover was not on the bike when they went to work on it. I was like, "Huh? How the hell did you think I drove it off of my truck and parked the damn thing if the key was broke off?"
Simple things like this make me mad and Triple S may have just lost my business for a 5 dollar Item.
I like to ride up on Farmington Peak. That is a nice ride from the bottom up to the top, and in the heat of the summer you can go swimming in the farthest north of the Smith Creek Lakes...Burrrr, cold. I only did that because I had a beautiful red head lady with me. Perks of the job, I guess.
Anyway, thanks for the tip. I've been to Big Boy's once but couldn't get anybody to give me the time of day. Maybe I'll try again.
Have you done any business with Newgate? I've been down there many times just to look. They have any incredible selection and they are nice friendly people but don't know how the service is.

i bought a brand new 2000 explorer about a month and a half ago.. a week later i walk in to purchase some chain lube and oil and the guy had no idea what i bought. he questioned why i was buying two stroke oil.. he thought i bought an expedition.. i know we are not the best of friends but i just spent about two hours with the guy a week ago..service was lame also.. i told them i could pick the bike up after purchase in about five days because of a hectic work schedule.. when i showed up they asked are you picking up the machine today.. i said well yes, they go o.k. it should be ready in about two hours.. thanks alot. i will be traveling a bit on the next purchase.
