It doesnt really matter what is faster stock for stock because if you want to win drags you will need mods and with the predator and its engine you can still get a ton more power and speed from it. As for MX our predators out handle and out power everything except maybe the crf450's (dirtbike engine). The yzf 450's don't even bother me when they line up next to me. I am more worried about the tricked out 250rs and crf450's. Also we let a guy who races the pro class on a $30,000 crf450 ride one of our predators and he said he wished he had a polaris dealer close to him so he could get the hook up with one. He could finally understand how we were able to race them stock.

Yep, You can see that the Predator gets a great start and then the roost stops right before they get to the camera and he starts up again a couple seconds later

Oh, by the way, I would like to congratulate everyone on keeping this thread relatively clean. It's nice to see everyone's opinions without everyone getting the panties tied in a knot.

i ride about every weekend with two buddies with a yfz and 450R,from personal experiance and 450R are really close in comparison on mx in my opinion the yfz gets the hands up bc the 450r rider pulled the best time on the yfz, the pred comes in last, this is all on factory set suspension, i think they all could be better with a little tweaking, in a drag the pred split 2 races apeice with the yfz on pavement both stock, the yfz took the holeshot on the 450R put the longer the race the advantage goes to the 450r, (taller gearing). stock 450r vs pred with pipe on sand both with the same tires(sand devils) the 450r wins buy a bike length( i weigh 80 lbs more than the 450r rider, plus i think he rides better so this was kinda real world testing, the yfz had no sand tires and got his *** kicked,

i like my pred its a new machine, and its got some flaws its to heavy but the good outweighs the bad, for what i paid for my machine im happy with it no its not a honda or yammaha, but im happy and thats what counts with the money i saved from buying the polaris i paid for my pipe, jet kit, nerfs, and tires and wheels, and still under what i cold have paid for either of the two, im heavy and my bikes heavy so i need to lose some weight, both on my bike and myself, if polaris will listen to the rider feedback thats out there they made a good first effort hopfully they will listen.

imo any three of these bikes are an awesome bike to have the yfz and 450r are great out of the box, and for a few extra bucks you can make the pred run with either

Thats just it, you have to spend MONEY to make a larger displacement quad run with lower displacement quads!! As far as the predator beating the YFZ or the TRX on the track, you guys have to be kidding me!

Pred is dollar for dollar the best quad going. Now before I get gripped at let me first say that I am a Honda guy through and through - my first bike was a 1980 XR80 (got it new for Christmas in 80 – that dates me a bit), shortly their after I added an early 80's ATC-90 to the line up followed by some very old superhawks and other misc. Honda street bikes. Then in the 90's I picked up a 93 vfr750. Today I own a Honda car, a Honda mower and a Honda generator - so what’s my point? Well when it came time to buy a new quad I went with the Polaris. Why? Because nothing else even came close!

The pred has great suspension, incredible handling is built like a brick s--- house and still manages to feel very toss-able in tight trails. The Hondas well seemed, outdated (ex400), lacking in features (no starter on the 450r are ya freak’n kidding me!). So while it was hard to get to the mental point of not buying a Honda when it came right down to parting with my hard earned $$$ the Polaris had exactly what I was looking for at a fair price.
