Honda street bikes. Then in the 90's I picked up a 93 vfr750. Today I own a Honda car, a Honda mower and a Honda generator - so what’s my point? Well when it came time to buy a new quad I went with the Polaris. Why? Because nothing else even came close! The pred has great suspension, incredible handling is built like a brick s--- house and still manages to feel very toss-able in tight trails. The Hondas well seemed, outdated (ex400), lacking in features (no starter on the 450r are ya freak’n kidding me!). So while it was hard to get to the mental point of not buying a Honda when it came right down to parting with my hard earned $$$ the Polaris had exactly what I was looking for at a fair price.

propolaris and Trailrider500 - thanks Thought for sure I was about to get flamed off the forum for that post, but I guess the evening is still young - cheers!

I am left to assume that Honda engineers never tried to load the 450r into a lifted truck on a slippery aluminum ramp - at these times I am so grateful to have an electric start as it saves me countless moments of frustration (having to roll back down to level ground kick the beast again and make another attempt). This Honda kick-starter oversight reminds me of the rims on my VFR – which looked great but were next to impossible to clean. Perhaps Honda engineers and team riders… need to get out from underneath the umbrella, and be forced to load/start/clean and live with their quad – one on one for awhile. Then I bet you would see such high tech amenities as electric start begin to appear on Honda quads and… oh, wait a minute my Honda mower is electric start.

actually I think honda might have put kick start on it because it can be more reliable than electric start
