Call Rick ritter at Ritter cycle racing and ask him what he recomends.

What the spring change will do is raise the rpm your belt engages and give you more of a snap off the line.

you dont want to mess with your clutch yet it will just mess up your jetting. if you have 200.00 to spend before you jump into mods you should check out the stuff on the quad that needs replaced every now and then like

chain
sprockets
counter balance"really check this one out its something every one with the 400 needs to keep an eye on"
fluids counterbalance oil transmission oil brake fluid and coolant
bearings in the front wheels and rear swing arm
shocks the rear fox probably needs charged
reeds just go with the stock ones now till you know everything else is in good order
cables to throttle and oil pump need adjusted every now and then
vent lines these all need ran to the right place
tires
and that should get you started....
good luck listen if you want dont if you dont.
