Default TB sprockets

A friend of mine has an old TB, which he rides a lot, but he hasnt been able to ride it recently because his rear sprocket is so chewed up his chain just slips whenever he tries to accelerate. I looked around a bit but i dont know exactly where to look for a sprocket set for a TB. Is there any aftermarket company that makes them or would he have to just order a replacement from a polaris dealer? either way, how much would it cost? thx.

thanks, ill send him the link. Also, although i havent looked too hard for any mods, ive been telling him that the performance aftermarket for TB's is very limited. Are there any cheap mods for the TB that would produce a somewhat noticeable change? Ive been talking to him about getting a new bike, and he's interested in a 400ex, but he really likes his TB and he's a little reluctant to get a manual because he's had no prior experience with them. I know he could learn but its also that he doesnt have the money, it would take him a very long time to save up for even a used one, so if you know of any cheap mods for TB's, let me know.

Well actually there are quite a few mods avil. for the 250 I think the best for the money is The RcR stage 1 kit. It's a pipe silencer air filter jets and a clutch kit to match the pipe. I think It's around $330.00.
and ritter cycle racing has very good customer service. High performance designs, hot seat performance and AAEN all make 250 mods they all have web sites.

what exactly is the clutch kit part? and does this require professional installation or can you do it yourself?

The clutch kit consist of weights and spring for the primary clutch can be installed without removing the clutch from engine not hard if you have basic mechanic skills. the driven clutch will need to be removed from the trans you should NOT need a puller unless it's rusted you will be putting a spring and maybe a helix it also not hard to to. you will need a touqe wrench, snap ring pliers and of course your basic tools to do this. sorry don't know the addresses for the web sights but if you search for them you will find them.

what are the effects of the kit? just quicker shifting or what? (i never fully understood cvt trannys so i dont know exactly what that would do). Ill look for the sites, and i think this would be a lot better for him than saving up for years for an ex. thanks.

The spring will raise the engaugment rpm to match the power band of the pipe the heavyer the the weights the better it'll grip the belt and will allow for full upshift with the stiffer spring. The driven clutch mods mostly deal with backshifting the stiffer the spring the longer it'll stay in the lower gear ranges and sooner backshift when hillclimbing.
