Took the plunge
Bigwannabe, sorry to hear about your bad luck, but if it's any consolation, both of my quads had some glitches from the showroom floor. It was really disheartening at the time, but now I find my Sportsman to be just about indestructible. By the way, my new Prairie 700 is ready to come home now after 4 weeks in the shop, so don't think it's just Polaris that has problems.

Took the plunge
I broke my handle and reservoir the first day I brought it home! Ouch! I had to buy that one myself!
I then rolled it less than a month after I got it, but it just scratched it, except for unplugging the ignition, and the right front fender growing a nipple from being mashed down on the shock very hard during the roll.
As for being cold-natured, my Boss starts easily no matter the temp. My wife's Magnum, OTOH, is VERY cold-natured. We have figured out a routine to get it started more easily (which includes NOT turning the gas off at the ****).
