Default break in proccess for new producs.....

Hi guys, I'm new to the web sight but like what I see. Anyways, I'm currently rebuilding my top end on my '97 Polaris Sport 400, I've bored the cylinder .040 over with a weisco piston, bought a pro design cool head, and adding a mikuni tmx 42mm carb. My question is what breakin proccess should I go through after it's completed? Also has v force reeds, dg pipe and silencer, k&n filter. Does anyone know of a after market brand that sells nerf bars for this bike, or what type I could use? Thanks

Welcome to the forums!

I would go easy on it for the first few tanks of gas, also don't run it for long periods of time during break in make sure you let it cool down the ride somemore...

Hot seat performance is the only company that makes nurfs for polaris ATVs, IMO they are ugly.. you can modify nurfs for anther quad to fit your sport..

they say raptor and banshee nerf bars work with a lil fixing and as for break in you want to make sure your using the right octane of gas and just run it easy for about to tanks never really getting on the throttle just taking it easy ( i know it will be hard lol ) and i heard of ppl saying of just letting in in idle for 15 mins shutting it off to cool down and doing it again a couple times

Loosen them up and retorque them to the proper spec. It COULD cause problems with them being over torqued

BT250Racer, one more thing, you have to torque them in a criss cross pattern, and with the 250 having such a thick head gasket, make sure you do it a little at a time until you bring it up to gull torque. HOPEFULLY you didnt squish the head gasket by over torqueing it.
