Default scrambler strut problems..

hey guys,i have a problem with my struts.the problem is,where they go up through the top mount bracket.one of them is very loose,i can move it like 1/2 inch back and fourth.it came loose on me before and i just tightened it up,well this time the nut is tight as tight can be,i used a breaker bar to try and get it tighter but it didnt move..whats the problem,is the hole wore out or something?i was also thinking maybe the lower pivot ball was worn out but after looking at it,it seemed to be ok..please help me..thanks

You need to take it apart at the top an check all the parts are there. There is a halfmoon shape piece of plastic there an a rubber mount with the washer. It sounds like the plastic part might have broke.

the only other thing that might go worng is with the spring retainer. it is matel an might be wore out with a hole in it. I would take it apart an check it it dosen't take long to do it I can change a set of struts in about 30 min. Have had to do it at the race track before.
