Default scrambler winch

has anyone installed a winch on their scrambler? i'm looking at putting on a warn 2500 but when I called my dealer he said that polaris doesn't make a winch mounting kit for a scrambler anymore. I was wondering what people's experiences have been? aftermarket possibly? any advice would be appreciated. thanks

Most non-Polaris sites only sell a rear mount plate.

Only Polaris sells the factory warn mount.

You get a new front brush bar.

Call differnt dealers.

hey does anyone know where to get a rear mount?

as for figplucker i got a cycle country winch(1500) and mount. if u are interested in it let me know, both are new. reason is i want to install it in the rear because i am scared it might be "front heavy" with it at the front. the scramblers are pretty front heavy already on whoops the damn thing likes to land front first giving me a feeling its gonna roll forward LOL. this is not the best feeling flying on the whoops...........

one more thing what do u think is safer as in climbing hills and so on, having it in the back or front?

The cycle country mounts fit Warn winches, so I would GUESS that the cycle country winches would fit Warn mounts. That is just a guess though. For climbing hill, obviously it is safer to have the weight on the front, but you can always counter balance that weight

okie take alway the fact that having the mount in the front isnt so good if you smack a tree etc...........with that idea gone where would you mount it?
