Tired of getting beat!!
Well I use to have the king of the hill wheeler in the group that I ride with, but they have all upgraded to faster bikes. I think that it is time to trade the Scambler. I really love this wheeler, we have had some good, as well as some rough times together. I just can't stand being the slow man out anymore. Anyone know if a Predator will keep up with a mildly modified Banshee and a DS650. We mostly trail ride and hill climb, but I also have a 200ft dirt side by side drag strip in my backyard, that we use for trash talking. It has gotten so bad that I just watch them race now. Yeh, I'm a sore loser so I don't race anymore. Thanks in advance.

To be honest with you, a PROPERLY setup trail or race modded scrambler 400 should be able to take a mildly modded banshee and DS. I noticed that you dont have any clutch mods listed in your sig? With the 2 stroke motor, you really need to have the clutch setup for the engine mods, otherwise you will lack performance

I have thought about the race setup, but I have been told that I wouldn't like it for trail riding and hill climbing. I also hate the thought of having to spend $5 a gallon for race fuel. On a good weekend I will burn two tanks of gas. I also have a HPD clutch kit, race buttons, and 700 belt on the 400. I have also done a serious airbox mod since my last post and taken the 4wd off. I guess I need to update all of my infomation.

Have you tried to lighten it up other than removing the 4X4? Stuff like floor boards, flares (or mud flaps), and even the battery and starter ( if you don't mind pull starting it) should help quite a bit. I don't see why you'd have any trouble with the mods you've already got. Maybe a larger carb and trying a different pipe for more top-end would be a good idea if you had some extra $......
