I have a white 3-wire female electrical connector hanging out of my speedo pod. Can someone tell me what its for?
Thanks

Can't say as I can tell you what it is, but mine fell outta there too. I just shoved it back up in there. Seriously I did try to trace it back through the harness to see wtf but there are just too darn many wires.

It looks like on the 2004.5 sportsman and the 700 EFI's it is a diagnostic connector for the dealer to hook into. In your service manual you will see the connector in the wiring diagram section.

Diagnostic plug for the Speedo unit. If you have the EFI there is also a diagnostic plug in there for that.
