He is doing fine now. Thanks! It happened last 4th of july. We wear full face helmets and the one of the few times he didn't put it on, he hit a barbed wire fence post. It snapped the post in half and part of the post came up and over the front of his sp500 and hit him in the mouth so the full face helmet would probably have prevented it or it may have deflected the post down to the throat area and killed him. Who knows? I'll take my chances with the helmet on anytime. I was behind him and I thought he was going to bleed to death in the field. Never put a mark on his face but has some serious dental work to look forward too. Thank god for helicoptors.

Back when I was a teen I had a Moto-4 200, and one of my brother's friends lent me his helmet. First day I went for a ride I hit an electric fence wire just at throat level, but the way my head was tilted down the bottom of the helmet caught the wire instead of my neck. It wasn't turned on or anything, but still yanked me off the back of my quad. It was in an old field, and I never saw it. Just proves again ya never know!!!

I also did about the same thig that JEFF10049 states in his post. Flipped a sp700 over backwords. Helmet didn't do much for my ribs and spleen but their were some pretty nasty gouges in the helmet. Still can't honestly say that I wear it 100% of the time but I'm pretty close.

Hey I have been thinking about getting a chest protecter, Rockymountainatv has them the cheapest so far....my buddy got one, it is fox and he paid $130.00 for it. Then I told him I found them cheaper and he took it back and got one from rocky mountain. Don't get me wrong $130.00 is worth saving your back or chest, but if you can get one cheaper that will do the same thing why not. The only thing you are paying for is the name anyway.

RAJ, bought my wife's gear from them in the closeout section. You can't beat their prices, I checked around to make sure. My nephew bought his wife gear at the local shop, Thor pants and jersey, 210 dollars. She really wanted Fox gear. Got my wife Fox pants and jersey 110 dollars.
