never have worn a helmet. reason being, i could never afford one. i spent all my money getting the machines. to this day i have had several nasty wrecks, but amazingly my head is still in one piece. only injurys i have gotten that could have been prevented by a helmet is a cut ear after rolling my 3wheeler over me down a hill, and a few scratches from tree limbs. i do, however, always wear goggles. they are a necisity. too many bugs and too much dust. last night i orderd a helmet on ebay. i'm finally going to own one. there will be alot of times however when i still wont wear it. my 3wheeler is transportation. most of the time when i ride it i'm wearing shorts and sandals, how much good would a helmet do if i crashed then? i will wear it whenever i am out actually riding, but when i'm jsut puttin down a gravel road, i dont think i will.

If you can afford a quad or 3 wheeler and the gas to put in it, then you can afford a fricken helment!!! It doesnt have to be a fancy brand name $400 helment. Get a cheap used $20 or $40 open face helment for crying out loud!!!

Ahhhh. It would keep your freakin head from getting crushed!!!!! Are you serious!!??? What the heck does wearing shorts and sandles (another extremely dumb idea) have to do with your head!!???

Very amazing indeed!!! I think those wrecks you had screwed up your common sense. Not wearing a helment when riding is just down right STUPID!!!!

As an ex-roadracer/flat tracker, I can honestly tell you that there are only two kinds or riders.... Those that have crashed and those that will. You can't choose how or when, but it will happen. You can count on that. Helmets aved my bacon more than once.

I don't where my lid all the time. Putting around the yard and such...no lid. Out riding, it's always on!! A long time ago I was told that if you have a $10.00 head, buy a $10.00 helmet. What does it mean if you don't wear one at all? Hmmmmmmmmm........?

Ultimately, It's your choice.
