04 trail boss questions

I just got back from hatfield&mccoy trail in WV. What a freaking blast! Perfect place to break in the TB!
Just got a couple questions. First is I got some water in the belt case after blasting thru some pretty big puddles. I noticed it after a while when it felt like it was slipping. Where did the water get in? The gasket around the cover looks fine and the plug looked good...
I rode for a few minutes when it was slipping but stopped to pull the plug and less than 1/4 cup came out. when as I rode on it started to feel like it had "more power"... more like better shifting. Actually when I got back to concrete I notices that it will pull the front tires from a dig and carry them a few feet. It surely didnt do that earlier in the day. Did I wear the belt out - wear some thickness off it - and thereby giving it a higher engagement rpm?
Next is sometime during the day I noticed that my idle was waaay higher than when I first brought it home. Actually I noticed it by trying to shift from N the FWD and taking a few teeth off (not really, it just sounded like it). A guy at the store down there said this was normal during break in for idle rpms to go up. A few turns of the thumb screw and it was better.
NEXT where is the best place to get that magic primary clutch spring Ive heard so much about?

You can get a spring from your dealer for about 20 bucks. Next time the belt gets wet, put it in nuetral and rev it up to dry it out.

I don't think it would be in there, might be thou. I called them and they said That my dealer could order it for me to save on shipping. So I got my dealer to order one for me. But I'm sure you could orde it thrugh them to. It cost me $35 candaian. There web site is http://www.daltonindustries.com/.
