They had some tranny issues. other then that its a good quad..

wat type of tranny problems where they having on the o3 preditors? and how do did they fix it?

 

Polaris put 2 tranny's in my 03 TLD Pred but both failed on the test ride one with 03 parts and the other with ALL 04 parts. Polaris replaced my complete engine in my case with a 04 engine.

Some 03's had cracked heads, others also had broken frames by the gas tank.

 

They had most of those problems sorted out by May build dates and all problems solved by November build dates, so I am told. Mine was built on February 6, '04 [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

I have an 04 and have had zero issues with it and would not hesitate to buy another one - especially after taking a ride on an 04 yzf, way to stiff and narrow for my liking (at least in stock trim)... As for the 03 I can tell you that the guy I ride with has beat the living crud out of his and it has never given him any trouble – no idea what the build date is, so perhaps there is something to that.

 

Hi ,i just purchased an 03 model ,i have not gotten delivery yet but it looks fairly new ,i thought that all predators had a reverse gear ?
Does your model have one ?

reverse was added to the predators in 2005

 

well it looks like i am going to have to really excercise my butt on the mountin Trails with the boys ?

Is there any convershion on those 03 ?
to get a reverse gear ?
