Default Scrammy clutch weights

A while ago CED mentioned to me that his friend put some HPD 53gram weights (WT 10AL) in his 500 scambler that had an HPD clutch kit and it made a huge improvement. Just wondering if anyone else has tried this, or has a set that they are willing to get rid of? I would like to try it and see what it does for my machine.

How high of engagment does your kit have?I have a brown HPD spring that came out of the kids TB and wass thinking about using it in my Scrammy but need to get some weights to go along with it dont need any secondary parts.I dont want an engagment so high that the overide has to be used in reverse.

HPD brown primary with 10-58g weights is what is in there now. I dont have a tach, but I would say it engages at about 2200 RPM

Well good luck. I got the scram out today. I was gonna clean it up and take some pictures. Ive been working hard on it lately getting the horn working and the whole hub problem fixed. Works great now. Man! What a difference once you get thoses valves adjusted properly! That and I put a new Dayco Max2 belt on. It is creeping in gear (need to break the belt in) but that thing grabs really good. Was fiddleing around with the bike too. I got a front brake problem that I am working on But I still want to do a little tuning of the clutch on the scram. I may have to give Rick a call if I can pick up a used set of weights

Im gonna keep an eye on it. I have 3 spare belts now too I did it because the stock belt just wasnt getting the same grip as my 700 belt that I had on it. And this Dayco belt looks a lot like the 700 belt, but designed for non ebs machines. So far so good. I will watch it though
