Has anyone done this yet or trying to do this. Is anyone interested in this idea. I really dislike vacuum operated carbs, and after much searching on the web I really don't like my other carb options. I'm starting persue this idea and would like input.

 

Sounds like a good idea. Would probably be expensive. I have often though about adapting a Mikuni HSR carb designed for Harleys to it.

 

Use a ZX-9R engine. 150hp. That would be so insane. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] And they're cheap.

 

Yes it's going to be more than a carb, I'm est. about double or so. But the payoff, I think would be worth it. I have it all figured out on paper, now i"m going to start building it on my bike. I figure i'll have it in a couple 3-4 months. More to come

 

I know that some of the Bomb guys have well over $1000 invested in building an EFI for their quads. If you can do it, great! Let us know how it turn out. I assume you would be canabalizing the throttle body off and EFI bike?

 

No I planned to machine my own throttle body. My only question is what size should i make? Stock is 38mm and most aftermarket carbs are 42. I was thinking of settling on 40mm. Who are these Bomb guys. I didn't like the HRS because it was made for a harley and not a quad, I thought i would have problems on extreme angles.

 

The Bombadier guys. They have been experimenting with EFI and turbo setups for years
