Default clutch spring

I went to the dealer to buy my k&n and my white spring for my clutch. The guy asked if it was for the secondary and I said no its for the primary, I want to increase the rpms before shifting. I said the people i talked to online recomended a white spring. He said they were probly talking about a different brand white spring.

Is the white spring I need a polaris white spring like BBS said or is it the HPD white spring? and it is for the primary right?

I got the K&N and my stock filter came with an outerwear and he said its the same as the ones online, is this true, how important is the outerwear if I have one already?

They didn't have the chain tensioner so I have to order it from HPD.

Sorry for all the questions, I searched and couldn't find info on diff. brands of springs, or brands of outerwears.

Thanks in advanced for the help!!!

Tell the fool at the dealer ship it IS a primary spring and IT is a POLARIS spring.Part #7041132 when you get it it will look plain but have a white dot on the end.The stock outerware will work.

THose springs are ok for a 2stroke but you dont need that high of engagment with a 4stroke. I ran a white for awhile in my 500 Scrammy but it didnt shift out fastenough for me so I call the man and asked him and he sent me a Dalton Black/white and it did the trick. But for a stock machine the white is great or you could even go to a polaris green but I dont like that high of engagment either. It is excelant in my 400 Sportsman but it is a 2stroke too.

I know you have a TB but he has a Scrammy.2 differant animals. On our TB we are running HPD pipe and agressive clutch kit and it does real well.I wish it had the RcR pipe on an Aaen trail pipe but the kid likes it the way it is.

It has a red/yellow primary spring. What I dont like about the pipe is it has no bottomend power if you arent on the pipe it will bog down bad.But get into the power range of the pipe it flat hauls butt. But I dont ride it and the boy likes it.
