Well, I did it. I went and bought a 500 Scrambler 4x4 today. Love it so far. Going to the Badlands ORV park in the A.M., and will tell you more of what I think about it after.

1badscram,
What I meant was that I was going to the badlands Sunday. I did that. And I have to say, I LOVE THIS QUAD. The 500 4x4 is everything I had hoped. I bought this thing to be able to do everything my buddys' SP500 would do ( except for work ) but faster. And it does that.

I was able to climb, trail, and mud and never be left behind. I did have to be pulled out of one hole, but the Sportsman had to winch out also. I will admit that the SP will mud better, but it has to be extreme mud.

Had a great day, and will certainly do it again.

I will most likely be towing with a 97 Ram Sport 4x4, or a black 99 Dodge 1 Ton 4x4.

1badscram, waitaminute, I just re-read your post. We WERE there at the same time ! I got there at 9 AM. Left at about 6:30.

Did you see the really big guy, on what could have been a Scrambler, (couldn,t see the bike, too muddy) covered with mud from head to toe, with everyone laughing and pointing ? If you did, that was me. People were actually taking my picture. " How do you get one THAT covered with mud ?" Easy, get a hot 4x4 with no fenders to speak of, get in mid thigh deep soupy mud, and spin all four for a really long time.

We didn't have a camera, but I asked everybody who took one to e-mail it too me.
