THe bolt holes could be striped a little not letting them stay tight.Get you a cheap secondary off of ebay and try it.

If they are like the originals, they can only go in one way. I havent personally seen the HPD super duty button kit. I know on their roller kit you have to machine the bolt holes through and grind on the bcak side of the clutch sheave. Is that the way those work?

yeah the directions said to grind down the back piece and drill the hole so the bolt will go through.the hpd buttons wont sit down into the slot in the moveable sheave,im pretty sure i either got defects or the wrong buttons..

Are you sure they cant go in backwards? You cant put a stock button in wrong. Other than that can you lightly tap them into place? When I drilled my holes, the roller helix was a snug fit for sure.

they wont go in either way i try,i realize its rounded a certain way but the corners of the buttons arent rounded off and i think thats what is stopping them from sitting into place..

I had to modify mine just a bit when I put them in. File or sand the outer radius until the buttons drop down in like the stock ones.

If your busting buttons quickly, that's a good sign you need a new secondary spring as well.
