250 trailblazer problem.

Default 250 trailblazer problem.

my wife was riding her trailblazer today in the mud and when she went to put it in reverse there was nothing there. what i mean buy nothing is that there was no resistence at all when u pulled the lever back. i checked the linkage bar becase i thought it might of come loose but it was still intacked.....has any one else had this problem?????? thanks in advance.

dont ride it in the mud check the transfer case for mud and fludies

it wasnt like mud bog, it was just enough to let the tires let go......no reverse or neutral dont work at all, the lever will move forward and backward with no force at all.

Default 250 trailblazer problem.

Can you unhook the linkage and make it shift by hand. If not you may have to split the tranny to see whats going on. Does foward still work? Also check where the lever mounts to the frame.

Default 250 trailblazer problem.

Check the bell crank on top of the tranny where the shifter linkage hooks up.Lots of time these get slop in them or strip out.

Default 250 trailblazer problem.

i had the same prob. i found out by opening tha tranny that the rev. gear has a snap ring to hold it in place and it sleid down i just put it back in place that fix the problem
