Default Wow what a difference!

I haven't got my White bros. yet but decided to check out my secondary. The first time getting the helix out was a pain, busted 2 tips on my tool trying to get that ring thing off! Once i got it off it came apart easy. I didn't get to see what it was set at as it kind of popped apart. So when I put it back together I set it at 2-2. The first time i spun the wheel 1/3 clockwise, but that didn't work at all, so I took it back apart and spun it the other way and reasembled it. It was raining out so I couldnt really test it. I backed out of my garage and hit the throttle and it almost fliped! I puckerd on that one. I took it around the block and every time i hit the throttle the front came right up. I wasn't even gunning it as the first time i did and I almost flipped it.

I was not expecting that much of a change. I cant test the top end as it is really raining out now.

I am so glad I found this website and you guys. Your info and help is the best!!!

This is probably a bad thing. If it's so snappy at the bottom because of a change in secondary preload, it's probably set way to stiff and thus the clutch won't upshift properly. You may find when you open it up that your turning a ton of revs and not going very fast. All you need to set secondary preload is a spring scale (like for weighing fish) and a little tool from your dealer that clips on the secondary to attach the scale to.

Wait until you try going down a hill . It will be like a differant bike and wont freewheel as fast as before.when you get the pipe on you will have more bottom end and will break the tire loose more so than wheelies unles you get traction and then WHATCH oout! Glad you took the advice.

Simster,

If you are not concerned about speed then change the primary spring. This will give you much better bottom end. Only about 18 bucks at your local polaris dealer.

The first thing i did was change the stock primary spring to the polaris white. Then I took apart my secondary clutch and set the stock spring to 2-2. This and I had my K&N already.

I didn't notice any difference in the top speed, but there seems to be a slopy upper mid. Like the belt is slipping, not sure. I need more info on the way the secondary clutch works. Then I can compare the springs and rpms to see whats going on in the upper mid rpms.

It does pull wheelies with no effort at all now and I am completely stock accept for the $20 white primary and my K&N.

You will loose a litle on the top with 2-2 due to belt tension but the bottom end is worth it.Or you can do what I did and go with the TEAM secondary.
