250 frame- 400 frame
#1
Could someone tell me if there is a diff. between the trailblazer 250 frame and a scrammy 400 frame? Other than the motor mounts. Thanks.

I think it will depend on what years you are looking at - a while back I put an '87 250 engine in a '94 Sport 400 frame - I had to modify the engine mounting position, change the clutch cover breathing tube design, the exhaust, and a few other "minor" adjustments to make it work. If both quads are similar in years, then the work should be less to change over.

Like you said, the motor mounts are different and my experience with my 99TB and my
brothers 99 400 sport/scrambler are the strut mounts are higher on the frame. I think
the new models of 250 & 400 TB's are the same now!

I put my 98 400 motor in my 95 frame all I had to do was get the motor mount from polaris for the 95 400 mount. I used an exsust from a 96 Exploer an it fit fine I think mist the part need to chang can get from Polaris.
