running temps??

Default running temps??

what is a good running temparature for a good tuned engine? i have a temp gauge that i use on my rc cars that u place near the engine to see what the temp is and i am gonna start monitering my trail blazers temps. so what is a good running temparature and where should i take the measurements?

I think in a vehicle it is somewhere around 180 degrees or close to 200......not for sure on quad....

A liquid cooled 2-stroke would be alot cooler than that (I think my sled ran around 130 or so), but the important thing is exhaust gas temperature (EGT) much more so than just engine temp. And if it's an air cooled motor and your just talking about measuring the temp of the exterior of the cylinder, I have no idea how you'd relate that to anything with meaning.

well if i moniter the temps i can tell if its to lean or if i can lean it out even more!! should i check the exhaust temp or the temp of the cylinder? and the trailblazer isnt liqued cooled
