bubs I bought mine at sledpro in newmarket he is a supplier for them and supplies royal distributing, they were backordered at royal for about 2 months so I tracked this place down and he said that there had been a screw up in the ordering of them from royal and that he was sending 9 kits out that day and he would let me buy one from him because of the screw up ,that was monday so they should be there by now the kit from royal is 289.00 phone#is 1-800-265-2970 .By the sounds of the performance of your quad you might want to leave it alone you don"t want to mess with a good thing.

bubs ,yes you do have to change the secondary spring with the 500 ,but it is a very easy job to do with the ebs secondary because you don"t have to load the spring,. I would say I have about the same bottom end with the kit or maybe better, but like they say every machine is different and it sounds like you have a real grunter so it may not work as good for you ,I guess it will cost you 289.00 to find out.,good luck on what ever you decide.

ktm ,that price I quoted is in Canadian ,we get stung pretty bad up here on just about everthing we buy and then the ****"s want 15% sales tax on top ,it"s just one of those things you get used to after awhile ,but might still come out ahead buying from the nation ,our dollar is up a little I think ,would depend on how much frieght and duty would be tacked on ,but worth looking into.

ktm, can you tell me if the clutch mod that they show on the heelclicker website is needed on the 04 models, when I put the weights in they didn"t seem to be hitting anything ,so I was wondering if you had to perform this fileing mod on your 400,I think it said on there it was for older clutches but I can"t remember for sure.

Dobie,
Go to atvquadsquad.com and look for the HeelClicker section. You can get it from Cob for $158 to your door. If you can turn a wrench you can install the clutch, don't worry, it's easy. Go to the Heelclicker website and look at the slide show description. It will literally walk you through the whole process. I just ordered a couple of White Springs for my Ute's. I'm running Orange riht now because I have primarily been running on the dunes where I need a lot of midrange. The stock spring is great for rock climbing! It just lacks that midrange and bogs when you're haulin' *** on the dunes. I understand that white is a very happy medium....we'll see when I get it!

Yes, If Your running an 04-04.5 then you shouldnt have to file, Just make sure the weights dont hit.. I have been told that some of the 04-s were actually running 03 clutches because Polaris had them in stock, However Mine didnt need filing and worked great.
Treedoc, Im running the white Spring in Mine and Very pleased with it so far..
