I'm looking for a new carb for my pred...

So far these are the ones i have been looking at:

Mikuni TM 45 pumper

Lectron 44mm or 48mm

Edelbrock

I'm looking for performance,easy tuning and jetting and something that wouldn't take a lot of extra stuff to install...

Any advice/opinions would be helpful..

you have heard this before i am sure... but id talk to doug and see what he has to say.
when i was lookin for a new carb i wanted a 42mm FCR

 

Yeah call Doug and ask as many questions as you can!!! Look on his site and see what carbs he offers with his packages.....those are the ones he has tested and the ones that are proven to work better......call him up

 

I was going to call him last month i had time once, called he was very busy that day... since then i'm on the go 24/7,,,, I'll try to make time to call him its hard with summer around the corner, and working so many hours a day....

yeah tr500, I don't know anything about carbs or which is the best, but he has tested them all and tried to squeeze power out of them all too....so your best bet for info on carbs is to go to him....

 

I would look go for the edelbrock carb . A lot of my dad's friends have them and seem to like them.

 

there is mr hp in the bomb forum and he has some tricks to fine tune that stock carb he was showing greatr results with the tuning, he also does the lectron carb.

 

Actually Doug will fine tune it too....that is what my carb is, at the time, he said that the stock carb is really good and he was having a hard time finding one better...

I've heard a lot of good things about the Edelbrock, though I don't have any dyno numbers to back it up.
