Today I shaved off about 1/2 of an inch from inside my fenders. Took the Xplorer out for a long hard ride and hardly no more problems. I will still get the stiffer springs this week because stock ones feel to soft. I can hear the struts compressing too much.

I will check the rest of the front end while I am at it. Thanks!

Xplor,
On my '99 Sportsman 500, I went to 26" Bi-Claws on the front, and they were rubbing at the same place as yours--on the fender just in front of your foot. What is happening is that when the spring compresses, the tire moves vertically upward and into the fender. There is no horizontal movement at all. The fix that I used is a front lift kit. The best one I found was at Gene's Polaris. Their number is 1-800-544-0694. Their lift kit is made by a local guy who machines aluminum down for the proper fit. The main advantage of his lift over HighLifter's is that it has a lip that fits on top of the aluminum strut housing, and this keeps the spacer centered instead of being able to move side to side and contact the strut tube. It raised my front end by 1-1/2" and no matter how hard I hit a bump or land from a jump, there is no fender rub at all. And, that's running 10psi in my tires. You should be able to achieve the same goal with high lifter's cams, but my lift only cost $70. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply Wal... This week I am going to put on the stiffer springs. It should work. After that the lift kit will go on. Thanks for the tip.
