Default Hi-Lo transmission for a Scrambler

I would like to put a dual range transmission in my concentric drive scrambler 500 4X4. I believe that the Xplorer transmission would work. Maybe the 6X6 as well. Has anyone done this? advice or comments? what transmission should I look for? Anyone know where to find one used?

It has been done. I believe that you are right about the Xplorer transmission. It should bolt right in. I believe that you have to do a little work to get the shifter to fit right though. Even though I havent seen him on here in awhile, 425Xpedition put that trans in his scram. He would be a good source for info on the swap

I dont know if its the same guy or not, but I think theres a guy with Berts Dirtworks that has done it. Quadman... if one happens to show up on Ebay, I guess we will be bidding against one another. good luck.
