Default Scrambler 500 4X4 Hub Assy Question..

First let me describe the part on question. On the microfiche, they are calling it a hub assembly, it connects with 3 studs & nuts through the brake rotor.

The one on my Scrammy is loose. I cannot tighten the nuts because the studs are spinning, they wont let me tighten the nuts up.

My brother says we can just use a airgun and tighten them up.

If I buy new studs would this fix my problem? Or is the hub assembly worn out and buying new studs wont solve my problem?

Do I need a whole new hub assembly? Has anyone else seen this happen or have knowledge of this part?

Sean

before you go and spend any of those dollars first find out what is ruined. Is the threads on the stud striped, is the nut striped, or are the studs spinning in the hub? If the stud is spinning you will probably need everything new. good luck

Default Scrambler 500 4X4 Hub Assy Question..

The hub assembly might be worn out. I am not sure whether those studs are pressed in or not. Do the look like the are backed out any?

Default Scrambler 500 4X4 Hub Assy Question..

The studs on a car have ribs on them and are just pulled thru the hub from the back. In the garage I used to work in we just flipped the lug nut over backwards and used that with an impact wrench to pull the new stud into the hub. The stud may have backed out of the hub and just needs to be pulled back in or then it may be completely stripped where it is seated in the hub.
