Stickers

Has anyone removed the safety stickers from thier ATV? The machine would look a lot cleaner without them, but I don't want to make a mess. Also, there probabaly some liability if someone gets hurt, and they're not on there. I'm new to this site, but it's the best I've found so far.
Thanks,

There was a post a few weeks ago from someone who accidently spilled brake fluid on the stickers and the sticker bubbled and peeled off. Some people were using this to remove all of the unwanted stickers. Try it on a small, out of the way one and if you like it, try it on all of them. There should be no liability problem for removing the stickers as long as you are the end user. A dealer could get sued for removing the stickers. The only way an end user could get sued is if you were renting them out and a renter got hurt.

How many PSI does it take? I tried 1300 and it was not efficient. (fingernails were required for the rest of the job.)
Leaving the quad in the sunshine seems to loosen new stickers a bit.
A hair dryer works up to a certain temperature and then the glue really wants to stick!!!!
WD40 works good on the remaining glue. Better than gasoline which has a tendancy to dull the plastic.
P.S. ( I have heard of mean dealers reinstalling stickers at service time, but have not experienced this myself)

I remove the stickers on all my atvs with a hair dryer and wd-40. It takes some elbow grease, but its worth it. My dealer told me polaris has said that they are to put the stickers back on if they come in without them even its just for service.

Put some brake fluid on a rag and wipe the stickers with it real good. Let it sit overnight and peel them off the next day. I done it to my new scrambler and it worked great.

Go to Wallmart and get some "Goo Gone" or a Citrus based glue/sticker remover (can't remember the name, just tell the stock person in the cleaning supplies dept. they'll know what you want. No muss, no fuss takes them right off. A little heat helps, hair dryer etc. Took them off mine and looks much better

Thanks for the tips. My Sportsman is only a week old, so I'll wait till after the first service. I would probably put them back on if I ever sold it. Sounds like the dealer would have a good stock of them.
