You could get by without a longer wingarm by moving the floorboards up and/or forward.
The only real modifications should have to do is weld on the bracket for the shifter.
You don't have to pull, or even loosen the motor. You only have the remove the rear fenders, clutches, and the back swingarm bolts, but you don't have to completely remove the swingarm. One person can get the tranny out, but even with two it's a pain.

I think it might be worth that to have the fastest 4x4 goin', with enough torque to turn 28" Outlaws. I think that aftermarket swingarm would be pretty much manditory. I could deal with changing tires depending on the type of riding I was doing that day.
Does anybody know how much extra room the new swingarm would give ?
