Default Thinking about buying a Scrambler?????

well i called about it yesturday, he said it needs ball joints, bushings, rear shock needs to be rebuilt, and brakes need a lil work otherwise its fine,n for a 4X4 i would much rather have a shaft drive, and it may be cheaper this way too, even get the better motor,
and i'm not to worried about it not having enough sport, if i wanna ride a racer, i've got the ds, i just want a trail machine that i can play in the mud with, and not have to worry about being way far behind the ds on long rides,
Those arent that bad to do. And for $1800, its not a bad deal. From the sounds of it, the scrambler would fit your needs very well

Its not something you can do yourself without the proper tools. You can take it to your dealer and have them do it. Or, you can have PEP rebuilt and revalve it to better than new. Or, Hot Seat Performance can do it too.

All it may need is new seals and a recharge. Those arent that expensive. But, it you are talking about a new piston and other parts, then thats another story

If you do end up getting it. I would HIGHLY suggest picking up a factory service manual (unless it comes with one from him). There will be some things that need to be replaced in addition to what he included. Afterall, it is 6 years old. Things wear out and go bad. The Polaris service manuals do a really good job explaining the R&R procedures.
