Default Please Help!

Hey my buddie needs help getting the front left drive shaft out. Itrs kinda out but theirs another peice thats in a housing and wont come out.

What you are saying is not very clear - are you talking about the axle assembly? What year/model are you writing about?

The front axles are held to the front gearbox by a drift pin through the yoke - you have to knock this pin out with a hammer and punch to get the axle off the gearbox. Give us some more info and we may be able to help more. It might also be a good time to invest in the service manual for this quad.

Sorry, yeah its got a ring on it but ur supposes to pull it enought to get it to compress the ring. But were pulling the side of the gear box. Its a 02 Sportsman 700, we got the shaft out but theirs one peice in the gear box.

Default Please Help!

CANT GET THE SHORT SHAFT OUT OF THE PUMPKIN IT HAS A SNAPRING ON THE INSIDE AND DEALER SAYS TO YANK REAL HARD AND IT SHOULD POP OUT DID IT DONT WORK, thats the problem lol. Please help

well tkae off the sprocket and everything and the brake assebly. they take the snap ring off on the right side and take of the little cap that the snap ring holds on then take the bolt off(u will see it) mine came off wiht my fingers but yours may be stuck then tap the axle out. its easy good luck

i had to do the rear one on the HO and it was realy tight i used a pry bar an it popped out but it was tight it has the spring clip in there to
