I cant speek for the 500 4stroke but my best money ever spent on my 400 was an HPD pipe and silencer.

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

You can get a White Bros muffler for $180.Then get a Polaris green primary spring$20 and set your stock secondary to 2-2 and get a huge improvment. With all the bottom end torque of a 500HO you dont need a high engament just a little faster shift out and more bakshift. If you want the max on clutch performance get a TEAM roller secondary around $300 this may seem expensive but well worth it.On 4strokes you dont need to clutch for the pipe like on 2strokes.My 2002 4x4 500 Scrammy is set up like this and it is awsome.

Can't go wrong with HPD, check my sig!! With these mods I've never lost a Drag race to another Scrambler 500 and I've race a lot. I'm not saying it's the fasted Scrambler 500 out there but for bolt on mods to an otherwise stock 500 it's very impressive! I took the advise of BBS.
