HAHAHA thats pretty good , but all I read in the forum is with enough mods the scrammy will keep up.

im sorry jeffro but a stock 500 scrammy will keep up to a stock prairie 650 and the little 400 scramblers will smoke the 650,HAHAHAHAHA

 

The smoke comes out of the pipe of the 2-stroke, where I ride there are quite a few polaris around but no scrammy because they can't make it. I have had a 400 scrammy 4x4 , I was pretty fast out of the hole but compared to my prairie it rode like a log truck and if you got in some tough stuff it would smoke the belt every time , no low range kills belt drive atv's , but I was fun on the gravel rodes. If I was to get back on a polaris it would be a sportsman 600 , 700 or 700 efi , I really like them but not on another scrambler.

 

I have raced a highly moded Prairie 650 many times with my somewhat moded 500 Scrambler, the 650 isn't really a problem. The 700 makes for a challenging race. This is 300ft drag races, top end the Prairie's are faster.

 

I have raced on a 300 foot dirt drag strip , I had factory tires ,and a hole shot module , no motor mods at all , I was running 6:17 and the next fastest utility was a scrammy at 6:24 which was real close about a quad length or a little less behind and I ran a completely stock v-force and it was in the 5:84 to 5:86 range and it was not borken in , I work at a dealer and took a new one out to see what it would do. I know the scrammy had a pipe but I am not sure what else we never talked but it ran real well. There was a couple of completely stop prairies they where around 6:26 or so and there was a 1 polaris sportsman 700 and it was barely over 7 seconds and a Rincon there , what a joke , it was in the mid 7 sec range , my buddie on a vinsion 500 manual was as fast the sportsman. The scramblers are fine for that type of stuff.

The prairie's and the Scrambler 500 are so close in comparison on a drag strip that basically who ever gets the hole shot will most likely when the race. Does anybody know if the wheels and tires on a 04 KFX700 will fit on a 03 Scrambler 500? I know!! I own them both but I havn't had a chance to try this yet.

 

Doubt they will fit. The Scram has the same bolt pattern as a Banshee for the front (4/156), but the rear is a 4/4. I dont know of any other brands that use the 4/4 pattern
