Default girdle kit for stock head?

is the girdle kit from aaen for the stock head worth buying?im about to get a trailport and head work done and was just wondering if i should go with it?

The girdle mod is really best for when you're adding compression. Granted it never hurts to strengthen things. There is also a reinforcement you can do to the LH rear of the blocks on the 400 also. HPD has a quick fix for that.

Default girdle kit for stock head?

i was talking to rick about modding my motor,going with trail porting,head work,wiseco piston,and a few other things.he recomends using the aaen girdle kit for the stock head.i guess 1 out of every 10 will brake?i dont know if i wanna get it yet or not,money is somewhat tight..

I am wondering the same thing. Trying to decide if I should spend the money now, or see what happens...

You'll be out a lot more money and time if the front cylinder ears brake off. It did it on my trail mod, I'd get the girdle if there's any way possible!

It's always best to error on the side of caution.....if ya got da funds......might as well have piece of mind. Sorry that "Speaking Minnesotan" kinda slips out every now and then. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] You betcha!

Default girdle kit for stock head?

I would highly recommend getting the girdle also.A friend of mine had the ears on his cylinder break off also.And it was bone stock.Well worth the money.

Where can I see a good picture of a girdle? I saw one somewhere but I cant find one now.

which kit you plan on going with troyer?the one for the stock head ot the hpd billet head?i seen pics of the hpd billet head girdle kit..
