There is a pilot screw, but you have to drill the cap out to get to it. I personally haven't messed with it. I put a 50 pilot in and just rock and rolled. Thats what I'd probably recommend for you as well.

The pilot jet works with the mixture screw, they are in the same circuit. The jet is a fixed size hole, in a piece of brass. Its replaceable, bigger and smaller, for large changes. The mixture screw makes small changes, and is adjustable, for changes in temp, and humidity, and day to day changes in gas. You would change the pilot jet, only if the range of adjustment, in the mixture screw isnt enough.

Thats probably it, sometimes they are plastic.
Find a small drill bit, and I usually use a pin vise, which is just a screwdriver looking thing, with a 3 jaw chuck , that grips small diameter drills and pins. It wont take much effort, because the brass is thin. Just drill far enough to get thru, if you go too far, youll hit the mixture screw. Once you have a hole, in the brass, get a sheet metal screw, or wood screw, and screw it into the small hole, and once it gets a good bite on it, use a pair of pliers, gripping on the screw, and wrench it out of there. Dont worry about wrecking the brass piece, it gets thown away, once its out.
