how have you guys gotten out the brass plug to get to the mixture screw on the stock carb for a pred? thanks for any info.i have it torn apart right now and i cant get that little buger out.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

 

Drill a small hole in the plug at the side and pop it out with a pick.

 

Mine was out on my carb on the scram when I got it. But, when I ordered my HPD airbox kit, they said to drill a small hole and screw in a self tapping screw, then use a pair of pliers to grab the screw and pull the plug out.

 

thanks for the help i got it out. now how many turns in or out do you turn to get it diled in. i am running a 55 pilot and a 170 mn. at around 2,500 ft. above sea level. thanks

Every carb and machine are a little different, screw it all the way in and back it out until it sounds right, probably around 2 turns, but could be less or more.
